Privacy policy

This policy explains how The Weekly Playbook handles information when you use the service. The Weekly Playbook is an independent fantasy football analytics service; it is not affiliated with Sleeper or the NFL.

Information we handle

Account information. You can connect a league and generate the free edition without creating a password-based account. We ask for an email address so we can send the finished edition; this does not enable recurring weekly email. A secure browser cookie keeps your own editions available in that browser. Stripe collects your billing email at Checkout. We verify email ownership with a short-lived, single-use link before cross-device account or billing access.

League and report information. When you submit a Sleeper league link or ID, we retrieve publicly available league, roster, matchup, score, and player data from Sleeper. We store the league reference and the reports you ask us to generate so you can use your archive and manage your subscription.

AI writing. When AI commentary is enabled, the service sends its report-writing provider a limited report brief containing relevant team and manager display names, player data, and calculated results to write the requested commentary. The brief does not include your account email. The report is retained by us as part of your edition archive. Our report-writing provider processes requests under its applicable service terms and privacy policies.

Billing information. Stripe processes checkout and subscription payments. We send Stripe your verified account email when available; otherwise Stripe collects your email in Checkout and internal league/account identifiers to associate the subscription with your league. We receive Stripe identifiers and subscription status needed to provide access and handle cancellation. We do not receive or store full payment card numbers.

Service activity. We keep necessary payment and delivery records to operate the service. When measurement is enabled, we associate sanitized campaign labels (source, medium, campaign, content, and term), a landing path, and referral hostname with an internal league reference. We use the last non-direct campaign before your first successful league conversion, then keep that attribution unchanged for up to 90 days. Attribution stays with that internal league and is not transferred to another account merely because it submitted the same public Sleeper ID. We do not use advertising pixels.

Traffic measurement. We measure page views, referral hostnames, campaign labels, share-link opens and selected button clicks using a random anonymous identifier stored for the current browser tab. Traffic records do not contain your email address, IP address, full referral URL, query strings or share token. Traffic records expire after 90 days. We honor browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. You can turn off traffic tracking for this tab. We do not use cross-site advertising identifiers.

How we use information

We use information to verify email access, retrieve league data, calculate and write reports, maintain your archive, create and revoke share links, provide support, administer subscriptions, prevent abuse, and maintain the service. We do not sell personal information.

Service providers and sharing

We use Sleeper data services, AI report-writing services, Stripe payments, an email delivery provider when configured, and Cloudflare hosting and database services to provide the product. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not provide your payment card details to Sleeper or our report-writing provider.

Your editions are private to your account by default. If you create a share link, anyone who obtains that link may be able to view the shared edition when the Site is publicly available. Revoke the link to stop future access through it; revocation cannot remove copies someone already saved.

Retention and deletion

We keep account, league, report, and product activity data while needed to provide the service. Anonymous traffic and acquisition details expire after 90 days. You can delete your Playbook data from your dashboard, including associated acquisition and email-event records. If you have an active subscription, we first request cancellation; if cancellation cannot be confirmed, your data is kept until the issue is resolved. Deleting Playbook data does not erase records Stripe must retain for payments, tax, fraud prevention, or legal obligations. We also retain minimal invoice identifiers, payment totals, dates, and billing/validation classifications for financial auditing, without the deleted account’s email delivery payloads or league association. We retain a minimal hashed email suppression record to avoid sending after confirmed hard bounces or complaints, and a minimal record of the Sleeper league ID, internal claim identifiers, and claim date to enforce one free edition per league after account deletion. Provider backups and security logs may persist for limited periods under their policies.

Your choices and questions

You can revoke share links, manage a subscription, or delete all your Playbook data from the dashboard. For privacy questions or requests, contact support@theweeklyplaybook.com.

Children

The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information so we can review and remove it.

Changes

We may update this policy as the service changes. We will revise the date above when we publish an update.
